The previous episode revolved within Kaho and Kaji’s first encounter, the forming of an ensemble for the school affair excluding Hino and we’re left hanging with the issue Kaji had against viola and music.

Kaji’s ordeal pertaining playing the viola was revealed in this episode.  He was discouraged by Len’s violin skills when they were a bit younger and his self esteem went down up to the point of switching to viola and finally decided to quit since it wasn’t much of a help.  He came to realize why Kaho’s unskilled performance resonates within him making it unforgettable and addicting for him…the very reason why he moved at Seiso Academy.

Little by little the cast helped him see how Kaho had inlfuenced them and inspired them to embrace music and enhance their skills even more.  It wasn’t because of Kaho’s skills but the feelings she puts in when she’s playing her violin that moved them.

In short, the insights made Kaji rediscover his skills and Kaho was the first person to ever hear him play the viola.  On the later part, he asked if he could be allowed to be play with the ensemble and indeed he was just a perfect addition, that despite Eto’s discouragement.  That thank you kiss on the hand for Kaho was so cute!

Random Babblings…

After a long time keeping myself from watching animes finally I had sometime to catch up what I’ve missed tonight..

Unlike the previous episode this has been a standalone considering that Kaji’s story has been wrapped up satisfactorily.  But given so many old and new characters to focus on,  I do think that a season 2 is really needed.  This Eto guy which had been sensationalized along with Kaji but only had some meager role and we haven’t seen or known so much about him.  That goes with the Board of Director Akihiko as well.  This was a nice episode though in fairness.
